This year we were able to give the Medical Detection Dogs charity £3,500 towards their very deserving and needed work. Generous sponsorship of the pram race along with money donated on the day by members of the public raised the highest amount ever from a pram race.
You will doubtless be aware of the tragic accident that occurred this year resulting in the sad death of Francis ‘Titch’ O’Sullivan. His family and friends have been incredibly supportive of the event in this difficult period and even chose the Pram Race charity as one of their donations along with The Air Ambulance.
On Saturday 6th August QHOF hosted their immensely popular ball for 250 guests.
This year the ball was in aid of local charity Hayley’s Heroes who offer young adults with cancer and their close family and friends a helping hand when they need it and to let them know that they are not alone in their fight.
We are still counting the pennies at the moment, but are confident that we have raised a significant sum for this very deserving local cause.
Here are a few photographs from the evening – enjoy!
QHOF recently visited the Charles Dickens Day Unit at Maidstone Hospital to meet members of a local charity and to hand over the proceeds of their New Years Day Pram Race. A cheque for £3500 was presented to Hayley’s Heroes in order to help them continue their invaluable work.
