Queens Head Oddfellows Fund organised a street party fit for a (future) King as hundreds of residents from the village and beyond turned out to eat, drink and be merry and to share the happy couple’s joy. This event raise a total of £1200.00 and was presented to the Parish Council for much needed funds to complete the Play area at the Memorial playing field.
Here are a collection of photographs that John Starns took around the village on the day. It really was amazing that so many had turned out in the glorious sunshine to celebrate in style.
In the evening, those who were still in the mood to celebrate were treated to the amazing sounds of Sugarfoot Stomp as they played a vintage set to music lovers of all ages at the Queens Head.
